Lisa Scott Benson

CEO

Lisa joined CDR and MDM in April 2018. Prior to this, Lisa served first as chief strategy officer and then president of One & All (the recently merged agencies formerly known as Russ Reid and Grizzard). Lisa brings deep and complementary experience to the CDR leadership team, having spent extensive time working alongside organizations that include Operation Smile, World Vision US, World Vision Canada, American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Mercy Ships, Best Friends Animal Society, and many rescue missions and food banks across the U.S. and Canada. Lisa has a demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining high-performing teams that deliver strong results for clients. She has led groundbreaking marketing efforts, opening up new sources of revenue for clients who aim to increase their impact. In addition to her time at One & All, Lisa has worked for agencies including McCann, Grey, Direct Partners and FCB, learning from the efforts of commercial clients and applying that knowledge to help the nonprofit community continue to stretch into new areas of opportunity. Lisa has an undergraduate degree from Westmont College in philosophy and has benefitted from the Omnicom Executive Leadership Program in conjunction with Harvard Business School and Babson College.

Steve Harrison

President

Steve joined CDR in June 2019. Steve is an industry veteran and proven leader with 25+ years of direct response marketing experience in both nonprofit and commercial sectors. He serves on many industry boards including the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) and the Nonprofit Federation and is well known for his strong strategic and analytical direct marketing skills. Steve is responsible for client growth, strategic direction, and ensuring overall resources are delivered and client expectations are met. Previously, Steve served as Chief Client Officer at One & All (formerly Russ Reid/Grizzard). He has worked with American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Mercy Ships, Operation Smile, World Vision, Paralyzed Veterans of America and many other national nonprofit organizations. Steve’s commercial experience includes senior‐level management and account planning positions at Ronco Corp., Interactive Momentum and DirectONE. Steve has a Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and has attended Omnicom’s Executive Leadership Program in conjunction with Harvard Business School and Babson College.

DeDi Oxenberg

Vice President, Client Services

A specialist in client strategy, DeDi works closely with her clients—including Wounded Warrior Project, National Humane Education Society, and Four Paws International—to establish and manage their annual and future goals. To support her clients in reaching their goals, she develops creative strategies, messaging, and testing for their programs; analyzes results; and recommends adjustments or enhancements to the program in response. With more than a decade's worth of experience in the fundraising industry, DeDi has helped many clients meet and exceed their goals, winning numerous awards for CDR and our clients along the way.

Bessie Thibodeaux

Vice President, Client Services

Bessie has a wide breadth of experience working for both political and nonprofit clients. Working closely with her clients, she has helped their programs grow through successfully integrating campaigns across channels to maximize results. She believes consistent testing is the key component to continually build her clients' programs. Bessie's current clients include the Museum of Modern Art, Toys for Tots, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Kelli Usher

Vice President, Client Services

Kelli has more than 20 years of experience developing and executing integrated marketing and fundraising strategies for global brands and nonprofit organizations across multiple verticals, media channels and content platforms. In her current role, she provides leadership, strategic direction, oversight and coordination for our full-range of direct response and marketing services, including strategy, execution and analyses. Kelli has worked with some of the world’s leading nonprofits, including World Vision, Operation Smile, Mercy Corps and International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Other nonprofit clients include Action Against Hunger, Be The Match Foundation and Bethesda Lutheran Communities.

Chuck Lowensen

Vice President, Creative

With over 20 years of experience in direct response design, Chuck has worked on hundreds of clients across many different verticals. Having worked on the vendor, agency, and client side, he brings a unique perspective and vision to his creative. Winner of multiple MAXI and Echo Awards, Chuck continues to design and develop top-notch packages for his clients that exceed response rates and client goals.

Meg Dawes

Vice President, Integrated Marketing

Meg Dawes joined the CDR team with over 25 years of direct response marketing experience. She has a diverse industry background that includes account services, production, business development and multi- channel fundraising strategy. Each of these roles played a part in developing her equally diverse client portfolio among those include The International Justice Mission, The Nature Conservancy and The International Medical Corp. Meg has been responsible for the successful launch and growth of several new brands including digital divisions, where she directed the strategy and implementation for web redesigns, digital campaigns, television commercials, and social media campaigns. She is a graduate of James Madison University with a BS in Psychology and has been an active board member of several nonprofit organizations.

Marni Grimm

Vice President, Operations

As director of production, Marni leads a team of production specialists in executing all production responsibilities for clients' direct-mail programs. This includes print specifications, estimating, purchasing, quality control, and managing transparent billing. Marni ensures that our production staff is skilled in integrating the efforts of art, data, print, and lettershop, and is involved in projects from idea-inception through mailing. Our team maintains expertise in manufacturer's capabilities, U.S. Postal Service regulations, and industry trends and technology.

Robert Allen

Consultant

During his 35-year career as an agency owner, industry thought leader, and strategic consultant, Robert has developed enduring, file-building and retention strategies, campaigns, programs and concepts for well over 100 nonprofits. Some of his current and former clients include Wounded Warrior Project, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Toys for Tots, National Easter Seal Society, National Children's Cancer Society, National Law Enforcement Memorial, Center for Environmental Education, Center for Marine Conservation, National Wildlife Foundation, Wilderness Society, National Humane Education Society, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, Four Paws International, and many others.
