CDR FUNDRAISING GROUP DIGITAL ART DIRECTOR

Description:

The Digital Art Director partners with team members to deliver high quality creative that is strategic and
on time. The ideal candidate will be digital-native, fluent in user experience principles and methods, and
will understand how to integrate with other channels. They will execute an idea from beginning to end
while effective communicating information to the team. They will possess exceptional attention to
detail, able to balance business objectives with creative effort, and will demonstrate empathy, drive and
resilience. They will push the creative conceptually and aesthetically to ensure that the highest quality
digital creative is produced for our nonprofit clients. The Digital Art Director is cognizant of the value
that creative brings to the table.

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets input from clients and creative directors into effective creative executions.
  • Rationalizes and presents creative recommendations to team.
  • Articulates abstract creative ideas to team and clients.
  • Handles multiple projects at various stages concurrently as part of a team or independently.
  • Implements diplomacy and nurtures rapport with team and clients.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge with respect to design, cultural, and business trends.
  • Concepts creative ideas. Is an active listener who provides constructive feedback.
  • Integrates digital creative concepts with other channels (print, TV, OOH, etc.).
  • Accepts and implements constructive feedback when appropriate.
  • Practices good housekeeping etiquette with respect to working files, servers, etc.

Skills:

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced agency environment and a variety of creative-oriented tasks.
  • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Possesses a proactive mindset, the ability to see the bigger picture, and patience.
  • Tirelessly curious, collaborative, and creative.
  • High-level proficiency with Adobe® Creative Cloud: XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft® Office.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Adobe® After Effects.
  • Ability to animate through timeline-based techniques or HTML5 coding.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms: Workfront, Basecamp, Asana, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (visual communications, graphic design, advertising, etc.).
  • Online portfolio showcasing qualifications.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of digital experience focused on UX/UI as part of an ad agency or in-house team.
  • Direct response or fundraising experience.
